The Warriors were playing Game 3 the night of Westlake Middle School’s 8th-grade promotion, but the auditorium was packed, and no one made a move to leave early. “One thing I’ve learned in the past three years is that you will have a dream, but many events and obstacles will get in the way…What you have to remember is you are strong and you can face them and persevere.”

“I will always remember my first day at Westlake. I came in the middle of the school year and my expectations were that I would be alone for the rest of the year, but thankfully I was wrong. The teachers were supportive in every way and the students made an effort to be friendly.”

“I want to thank all my teachers for making learning fun and setting high expectations. I want to finish by telling you that life is your teacher, and you are in a state of constant learning.”
